Dr Patrick Holmes is a physician at St. George’s Medical Practice.

He serves as a board member of the Primary Care Diabetes Society and the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is also a member of the UK Kidney Association and an associate editor of Diabetic Medicine.

He has received the Improving Value Award from the Health Service Journal (2018) and the Quality in Care National Award (2017). In addition, he is an advisor for Napp Pharmaceuticals.

Dr Holmes’ research interests mainly focus on adult Type 2 diabetes, particularly preventing complications.
